Kings are necessary, Monarchies are necessary.

This is not a statement that has been heard often in recent decades.

The king archetype in its fullness possesses the qualities of order, the establishment of just and rational guidelines, and inclusiveness and integrity. 

He stabilizes chaotic emotions and out-of-control behaviors in the same way that he brings centrality and serenity; 

He defends our sense of inner order, integrity and purpose. 

He gives the nuclear tranquility of knowing who we are, of being aware of our invariable essence, of possessing the certainty of our identity. 

He observes the world firmly but also with kindness.

Once we have managed to establish that internal monarchy, that order, structure and coherence that derive from the application of a policy for the soul, we can then be of use to society and leave our impact on it.
